Carrier End of Line Measurement & Testing Cell

Gas and Diesel Carriers

This system consists of three (3) robots performing part handling across the cell. Parts enter the cell via incoming gravity roller conveyor. Parts are then transferred to various stations where multiple inspections are performed. Finally, parts are laser marked for traceability and transferred to outgoing powered belt conveyors.

  • The inspection process was too labor-intensive, and defective parts were getting through under the existing process.
  • The multistage machining process requires multi-step EOL inspection.
  • The manufactured components required a method of data acquisition and part traceability.

Transmission Housing Inspection, Testing & Assembly Cell

Transmission Housing

This system consists of two (2) robots managing part handling for automation. Various end-of-line operations are performed in this cell such as leak testing, bushing pressing, contact probe gaging, vision inspection, and part stamping for classification.

  • The assembly, testing, and gaging process was too labor intensive.
  • Critical end-of-line machining processes require reliable and repeatable verifications.

eAxle Gear Box Inspection, Test, Assembly & Laser Marking Cell

eAxle Gearboc

This system consists of six (6) robots maintaining all EOL processes and inspections. Processes include plug press, leak test, contact probe inspections (including diameter, position, flatness, distance and profile measurements), and a camera vision inspection. Parts are then packed out of the cell accordingly in a seamless inline fashion.

  • Critical end-of-line machining processes require reliable and repeatable verifications.
  • Parts required 100% measurement and leak test for all parts in the production volume.
  • The manufactured components required a method of data acquisition and part traceability.
